On one hand the old PlayStation 2 is outdated and just isn't good enough for a modern audience. Audiences today expect HDMI graphics with in-depth story-line and easy-access online play. On the other hand PlayStation 2 games often have innovative plots and ideas for games, something that the PS3 lacks in endless symmetrical sequels. For example, Star Wars: Battlefront not only provided many fans with their beloved trilogy on a different platform but also created a new and exciting way to have a team deathmatch with over 250 people!

The new PlayStation 3 slim means that it runs even faster than before and is now actually portable. The HDMI graphics are to-die-for and it's very reliable. The only problem is that the games are often repetitive and they all copy each other anyway.
