Top five games of 2012
5) Call of duty: modern warfare 3
Set in the long-waited for world war 3, the latest installment of the Call of Duty franchise has arrived. The campaign can be interesting and exciting but most people will play it for either the online play or the Special Ops mode. The online play is as you'd expect from any COD game; repetitive, endless and slightly competitive. This being said, it has been known to enrage some players so do try to stay calm whilst playing. The Special Ops mode is quite good though. The individual missions are good for a quick blast and the new survival mode is nice. But once again, the game seems to be missing something (probably nazi zombies) that the franchise never seems to grasp.
4) Motorstorm 2
A great racing game made primarily for knocking off other racers in the water or lava. Enough said?
3) torchlight 2
Torchlight 2 is a casual but fun RPG. With 4 different unique classes which offer vastly different playstyles this game will have you smiling as you blast your way through skeletons with a huge cannon or swing a hammer through giants.
2) Assassin's creed
Set in medieval-age Middle East you are a hashassin (an assassin) who changes the course of history. You can leap from rooftops onto your prey or quietly poison them: it's up to you.
1) Grand theft auto 4
Grand Theft Auto 4 combines the successful elements of their previous game to bring the best installment in the series. You can play as Nico, an illegal ex-army Serbian immigrant looking for some cheap money. Or you can play either additional campaign as Luis the Hispanic bouncer who does odd jobs for his boss to get them out of debt or Johnny who is part of the biker gang Lost MC and relies on money from stolen motorbikes to get from day to day. Both of which are entralling as the realism of Grand Theft Auto is, as always, unbeatable.
